Duffled Magazine is in preparations to hold the inaugural edition of ‘The Duffled Dungeon’. The event will celebrate contemporary East African and Pan-African pop culture through a diverse programme featuring fashion, art, a rap cypher and creative workshops.
About duffled:
Duffled Magazine is a pop culture and lifestyle digital publication based in Kampala, Uganda. It is a community hub and creative platform spotlighting young, boundary-pushing African creatives in fashion, arts, and alternative culture. It features recurring artistic initiatives like the ‘FORCES’ campaign, which highlights behind-the-scenes pillars of the creative economy such as managers, promoters, and fashion icons. The Duffled Magazine also co-produces cultural showcases, panel talks, and creative markets, including partnerships with the British Council Uganda, IGC Fashion, and Skillz Dance Fest. It runs periodic support and residency initiatives tailored for emerging artists and creatives across Africa and the diaspora.
The Collaborations:
Among the collaborators is ‘Cipher 360 Degrees’, an ensemble of cultural artists that uses music and art as tools for education, inspiration and cultural expression. Through its work, the collective challenges inherited narratives and recreate stories that speak to a mindset shaped by the history of colonisation.
Cipher 360 Degrees explores spiritual, real-life and metaphysical themes through lyrically layered yet accessible art. By combining depth with simplicity, the collective creates art that’s understood and appreciated across different audiences.
The Duffled Dungeon will take place on September 11, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at Goethe-Zentrum Kampala. Tickets are available at 35,000 ugx.
