DIAA 2026 NOMINATIONS TO CELEBRATE DIGITAL INNOVATION IN AFRICA

Nominations are officially open for the 2026 Digital Impact Awards Africa (DIAA 2026), inviting the public, organisations, industry professionals and other stakeholders to recognise the people, institutions and innovations using digital technology to create meaningful change across Africa.

The Digital Impact Awards Africa, popularly known as DIAA, recognise and celebrate organisations, institutions, innovations and leaders whose use of digital technology is impacting lives, businesses, industries and communities. The awards recognise the impact of digital technology beyond innovation for its own sake. They shine a spotlight on solutions, products, initiatives and leaders that are using technology to solve real challenges, improve access to essential services, create new opportunities and contribute to socio-economic development.

Across its award categories, DIAA covers areas where digital technology is having an increasing influence, including digital financial services, commerce, mobility, energy, health, agriculture, government, technology, education and leadership.

The 2026 edition of the awards will be held under the theme: “Maximising the Digital Dividend.” This theme focuses attention on the growing opportunities created by digital transformation and the need to ensure that technology delivers practical and meaningful benefits to people, institutions and communities.

Members of the public and organisations are invited to nominate deserving organisations, products, initiatives and leaders. The nomination process allows individuals and organisations to put forward digital achievements that they believe deserve recognition. Each submission should contain one nominee for one award category. Those wishing to nominate the same individual, organisation, product or initiative in another category can submit a separate nomination for that additional category. Similarly, different nominees can be submitted through separate responses.

‘The information provided during the nomination process may be reviewed and independently verified by the DIAA Secretariat and Jury as part of the nomination and shortlisting process. The strongest submissions will undergo review and verification before the official nominees for #DIAA2026 are selected’,  the official DIAA website says
