Ugandan rapper Shemy B is preparing for one of the biggest moments of his musical career, the launch of his third studio album, Rap Anfudde Giant. The rapper, affiliated with the Mutungo Hip Hop Preachers, will officially unveil the 12-track project this Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Safari Maze in Centenary Park Kampala.

Every artist gives a title to an album, but sometimes the title carries the tone of the entire project. The title Rap Anfudde Giant loosely translates as ‘Rap Has Turned Me Into a Giant.’ Besides being about gaining fame or wealth, becoming a “giant” also means overcoming personal hurdles, refining one’s abilities and continuing to move forward in times when progress appears slow.

But the project stretches beyond music. Its lyrics concern motivation, growth, perseverance and the belief that an individual’s journey can lead to something greater.

The project resounds with a simple idea: ‘every hustle matters’. This appeals to the everyday hustler, the young artist, entrepreneur, student, or public servant.

For Shemy B, the upcoming event represents the apex of his work in Uganda’s underground and independent hip-hop spaces. With 2 days to go, his ‘Rap Anfudde Giant’ has reached its most critical juncture yet.
